Parents Night Out: Lovely Lil Valentines
February 8 @ 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm
Ability Tree First Coast’s much-anticipated Parents Night Out is here!! Our theme for the night is Lovely Lil Valentines which gets your family ready and excited for Valentine’s Day.
This event is for children with special needs and their siblings! Due to limited space and use of volunteers, PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. Once our spots are filled, there will be a waiting list in case of any family cancellations. If you are not able to register on our registration page (via Eventbrite) because all spots are filled, please email us with the name of your MVP and siblings as well as their ages – we’ll put them on the waiting list!
Since we are celebrating our first Parents Night Out event, the family price is ONLY $30! (The regular cost is $40.) This is for the MVP and ALL siblings – one flat cost! This reduced cost is made possible by our proud sponsors: Alicea Services, LLC!! Eliut believes in the mission of Ability Tree and want to help our families impacted by disabilities.
- Registration ends 2/6/19 @11:59PM. There will be no available registration after 2/6/19 for planning & staffing.
Enjoy a night out and some REST while the Ability Tree Team and Staff hang out with your child(ren) at Anastasia 16 Campus (110 Circle Dr E, St Augustine, FL 32084; 2 miles east of the St. Augustine Outlet Malls on SR-16).
At Parents Night Out, children with special needs and their siblings will make new friends, play fun inclusive games, enjoy crafts, stories, accessible activities, and much more! Meanwhile, parents get a break from their ongoing care-giving responsibilities for FOUR HOURS!
We believe that safety is vital as families entrust us with their children. Therefore, we have a nurse onsite and each child with special needs is paired one-on-one with a volunteer to participate in that evening’s activities. Best Buddies of Flagler College has partnered with us as our volunteers, in addition to our ATFC volunteer team!
An MVP Child Profile must be completed in order to best accommodate your child with special needs. You can complete and submit the form online – click here.
What are the ages allowed?
We welcome children ages 3 – 15 years, both MVPs and Super Sibs. Our teen Super Sibs may be more interested in participating as a Buddy, and that would be great! Let us know and we’ll get them connected.
Where do I register?
You will want to register by clicking on our Eventbrite page before 11:59PM on February 5th. After this time, we will not be accepting registrations due to planning and staffing.
Will dinner be served?
We will not be serving dinner for the children due to the various dietary needs. However, we will be having a snack time. This month our snack is Nilla waffers with cool whip, strawberries, and bananas on top! We will also have pretzels & Annie’s cheese-its. For our movie time (the last hour of the night as they wind down), we’ll be serving Skinny Pop popcorn. We’ll provide apple juice and water for them to drink.
What can I bring into the event?
If your child requires special foods, medications, adaptive equipment, etc., you may bring it. For medications and adaptive equipment, you’ll check it in at the registration table the night of and explain the use to your MVP’s buddy and/or nurse.
How can I contact the organizer with any questions?
You can contact us at 855-288-6735 Ext 5, or email@example.com.
